Overview With an election of 3,952 meters (12,962 feet), Jade Mountain (Yushan) is the highest peak in Taiwan as well as in East Asia.

The Jade Mountain Trail has become one of the most popular hiking trails in Taiwan in recent years, all outdoor enthusiasts who love mountain climbing have dreamed that “You must set foot on the top of Jade Mountain Once in your life” and have a glimpse of this beautiful treasure island. Compared with other mountains with similar elevation, the Jade Mountain Trail is rather friendly and one of the most suitable hiking trails for novice climbers.

Yushan National Park allows a specific number of foreign hikers (24 people per day) to get the permits on weekdays (Sun. ~ Thurs.) in advance, mainly resulting from the limited capacity of Paiyun lodge, the application can be registered from 35 days to 4 months before your hiking date.

Taking a 3‭ ‬days 2‭ ‬nights hiking trip, we can have a more flexible schedule to enjoy the significant landmark‭ ‬and do an adaptation to high altitude for avoiding AMS‭ (‬Altitude mountain sickness‭). ‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬
