Overview Snow Mountain (Xue Shan) is the second highest peak in Taiwan behind Jade Mountain. The main peak is at 3886m and this trail goes through a variety of interesting ecosystems ranging from sub-tropical forests, grassland, cypress and cedar forests to the alpine shcrubland. Two of Taiwan 100 Mountains- East Peak of Snow Mountain and Main Peak of Snow Mountain are located along this hiking trail with a length 10.9 km.

Taking at least 3 days 2 nights hiking trip is suggested for the first visit to Snow mountain‭, we can have a more flexible schedule to enjoy the beautiful landscape and do an adaptation to high altitude for avoiding AMS‭ (‬Altitude mountain sickness‭).‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬

Precautions Fitness-
The first day involves a 7 hours walk. The second day is usually around 6 hours, and the last day have to walk for 5 hours. There is risk to heights and high altitude. A good level of fitness is required. Hikers are expected to carry around 8-10kg to 369 cabin.

369 Cabin (Dormitory room)

Transportation-
Private transportation is provided from anywhere in Taipei or the Taipei/Taoyuan Airport, pickup in other locations can be arranged. Vehicles are insured and guides accompanied throughout during the transportation.

Leaders and Safety-
All of our leaders and guides are certified and carry first aid kits.

Permit Applied-
The application of Shei-Pa National Park can be registered 1 month before your hiking date, weekdays (Sun. ~ Thurs.) is easier to apply the permit. If you are interested in this trip, please confirm your hiking trip at least 1 month before with us for applying your permit.
